Fancy Pants

Ok so all these festival line up's being released over the past month is making me want to work my ass off all the way through spring/early summer to fund these bloody tickets. 

Right now, wireless is making all my festival dreams come true but making my pockets thirsty af with the amount of dope ass rap artists on the bill. It's most definitely looking like i'm booking at least 2/3 of the dates. I mean, i honestly feel like i have to see chance the rapper perform 'no problem' live before i die? Secondly, skepta's bae, so...enough said. And the weeknd 'party monster' live ...would just be a madnesssss and you know it.

Then there's v fest..Honestly even knowing Pink just might do a few tracks from the misunderstood album is helping me reach a decision toward tickets; and then there's Stormzy.... i don't need to say anything else tbh do i. 

Lastly, coachella is 100% on my bucket list of things to do before i die, but that's obvs way way off!

 

I don't know what it is, but after my first trip to wireless a few years back I've made it my mission to try & go to a festival every summer. You get such a buzz off being in a sea of people, outside, with drinks flowing, sun shining, surrounded by friends, everyone feeling turnt and lit just enjoying live music from amazing artists.

And then thinking about the money your spending on tickets in ratio to the amount of artists your seeing performing live all day. It's a no brainer tbh. I think of it as a little money that i can work off, going towards uh-mazing memories with my favourite people at my favorite time of year.

Over the past few days in London it's felt a lot like spring, which means 3 things: lighter coats, lifted moods & less layers yay! When i layer in London i feel like iv'e been through the whole four seasons just on one trip to work and back. 

On a packed train peeling back my scarf, wooly hat and jumper, then out on the street again with my chapped ankles freezing in my culottes. I just want it to stay like this till summer tbh. Life feels so much easier when the weather's not being a selfish cow.

But anyway, have you ever brought lingerie that's way to pretty to be worn underneath your clothes? Yup, that's me. So this bodysuit has now officially doubled up as outerwear and underwear and i'm not ashamed. 

Lastly a quick side note: This leather jacket has and always will drown me because its actually 'topshop tall' and i'm 'topshop petite' but it was on sale, the last one and size 8 so taking all that into account, I would've been hella stupid to let supermodel sarah with her long arms steal it.

Happy Valentines Day!
Ugh I love love! Like i'd happily record over game of thrones for serendipity and i'm pretty sure i know pretty woman scene for scene. But i kinda dislike the fact that everyone sort of loses the idea of valentines being a day to celebrate love in all forms.

People get so bummed out by the fact their single for the 24 hour holiday that they almost allow it to effect them the same way celebrating Christmas apart from family feels.
Now to me that's insane. (Don't get me wrong, we've all either been or been on the cusp of being bridget jones in that scene where shes slumped on her sofa with a remote and a wine bottle to herself)
But no, seriously to me today's a day to take advantage of promotional offers on chocolate and not letting the fact your single distract you from taking time out of your day to remind family, friends, your boo, lost loved ones/people who you cherish in your life know that you love em. Don't let these romcoms and girlfriends gas you into thinking it's anything else than that! Just be happy and spread lurve.

So its offical, I don't know how to dress for winter and still be 'on trend'. Like either my im freezing and my whole body feels like i've been chilling on a door with jack & rose in the ocean OR i'm super snuggly, with a hat, scarf, gloves the whole shabang looking like a 12 year old who's bunked school. There's no in-between with me. Even layering, like people are out here wearing 20,000 layers under their leather jacket?!
But anyway, I found it super hard to pair trousers with this shirt because its so huge on (Im talking HUGE) But my trusty topshop culottes came through (obvs) and tied everything together. My love for culottes will never die <3 
And how have i got through life without a pair of nude trainers please? My new ellesse babies are my right hand, they're my go to <3

This dusty pink satin shirt and black  bottoms combo has become my new 'smart casj' uniform. It's the type of combo that depending on the shoes & coat you pair with it, it can take you from: 'going westfields for a quick browse' to 'going to celebrate your friends 25th at shakazulu'. I can't wait to start ditching trousers and start pairing it with a line skirts and white jeans in summer ahh! And this colour though?! *melts* It just gives me mean girls 'on wednesdays we wear pink vibes' whenever i wear it. 

So i went into schuh to buy high top vans for winter and ended up leaving with low, light grey canvas adidas? Like who wears canvas shoes in British winter? But i've come to love them because the colour is so versitile and goes with almost everything in my wardrobe and after a few wears they've become my comfiest pair of trainers.

So i'm kinda, sorta in love with satin shirts now... Thanks h&m.

This emerald colour caught my eye whilst browsing a couple weeks back. Tried it on in about 4 sizes, visualised the array of shoes and gold jewellry i could pair with it, and left a happy customer. All i need now is a pair of suede thigh high boots, 40 inches of naomi campbell esque bundles and above 12 degree weather. 

And i feel like i've been living in these trousers since autumn? They've become my go to pair since my mom jeans shrunk to like a size -2 and my ripped black topshop skinnies became an in between shade of grey and not-quite-but-nearly- black
